China-Russia Workshop

 November 07, 2020
 Online Meeting

Main

The Second Sino-Russian Workshop on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology will be held at Huazhong Agricultural University in Wuhan, China in November 2020. Computational Biology and Bioinformatics is a fast growing field of biology based on analysis of structural and functional organization of biological systems, applications in medicine and biotechnology. Bioinformatics as a science field is oriented on joining and unification of databases and informational resources in biology, standardization of omics technology data. Organization of the workshop on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology will help summarize modern knowledge and allow the representatives from academic organization and commercial sector establish contacts and find variant of mutually benefit international collaboration with Chinese and Russian science organizations, and develop educational programs.

This international meeting will support solving of fundamental science problems on “Life sciences” program. The researches presented as the workshop correspond to the critical technologies: “Genome, proteome and post-genome technologies”, “Cell technologies”. Growing science interest to Computational Biology and bioinformatics is related to the researches fulfilled at China and Russia. It is related with software exchange, development of joint educational programs for students, and complemented to participation in the Workshop of scientists from Asian countries who consider perspectives of collaboration with China and Russia in frames of future international science projects, as well as bilateral collaboration.

The workshop include following topics:

  • Computational genomics and post-genome technologies;
  • Bioinformatics and data analysis in biology;
  • Bioinformatics and educational programs in the university of China and Russia.

The Workshop will collects presentation of the latest results in theses science fields. The program of the Workshop will include invited and plenary talks. By the results of the workshop full-text papers will be published in series of international journals on bioinformatics including «Journal of Integrative Bioinformatics» and «Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology».
